Overview
Blending nitrogen fertilisers in fertiliser production
Optimisied Blending Efficiency through Real-time Process Monitoring and Adjustment
Each application relies on the optimal properties of the mixed fertiliser. These can be achieved by adjusting the optimal mix ratio of the urea and ammonium nitrate components in the blending process. When blending the fertiliser mixtures, the process control is important for adding exact quantities and monitoring temperature.
KROHNE measuring equipment, which acts for example as reliable actual value transmitters for electronic mixed control in the blending process, guarantees high process reliability and product quality. The range of devices includes for example radar level meters for non-contact, precise measurements in harsh environments or in processes with quickly changing levels. Coriolis mass flowmeters for complex process applications cause only minimal pressure losses. And the high-precision vortex measuring equipment for coolant supply combines flow measurement, temperature and pressure measurement in a single device. This reduces installation costs by up to 45% and results in much higher accuracy across the whole system. Ultrasonic flowmeters with three acoustic paths are also able to detect changes in the process and dirt in the liquid. They provide high accuracy, even in unfavourable flow conditions.
